They are enjoyable reading that give the reader a good background and will allow the reader to explore more on their own if they wish to do so. I still have plenty to read, though, so I'll keep adding to the group total. I finally managed to complete one ROOT this month!! All tickers updated. I have updated all tickers. Another ROOT pulled So Be It or the Chips are Down found a long while ago in a used book shop. I liked his journals a lot, and this one is like an epilogue in some ways.

My niece named her second boy Dashiell. Dash is a pistol. Update went well, both threads should be up to date. I just finished ROOT 36 for the year.
Of Love and Shadows by Isabel Allende was a bit disappointing but now it's off the list! Various tickers updated. I can't believe there are now 24 or 25 in the series! I read the first one right after it came out. I need to put this series high on my "to read" list for next year. I have only just begun the series 5 books in. New total for 50worth. Group ticker updated.
Another ROOT down.
The Crucible Tickers updated. De laatste jacht by Harman Nielsen Updating all tickers. Finally I completed my first root for the month last week. I have been looking after my daughter post surgery and her two pre-schoolers, so limited reading time. Updated personal and group tickers. I made my target for this year- 30 books read from my book piles. For some reason the ticker won't update for me -ahh! I was not as impressed as I hoped to be, but some were really good, others not so much. Sorry, I haven't been around much the last 10 days but I have a good excuse.
Last Monday I had surgery on my knee again to repair some cartilage and scar tissue issues so i've been a bit incapacitated. Then Tim had chest pains Saturday night and I had to call to have him taken to the hospital. Happily, the doctors say there was no heart attack but he's got Doctor appts. You'd think that waiting rooms would be a great place to catch up on your reading, wish I could say I did.
